Kayelekera Mine
Once Malawi’s largest mine, Kayelekera has a current Mineral Resource estimate of 51.5 million pounds (Mlb) of uranium oxide (U3O8) at 475 parts per million (ppm), which is sufficient for a minimum 10 year life-of-mine.
The accelerated restart plan, with first production planned for Q3 2025, will ensure that Lotus becomes the next global uranium producer.

Letlhakane Project
The Letlhakane Uranium Project in Botswana, Africa is one of the largest undeveloped uranium projects globally, with a resource base of 142Mt at 363ppm U3O8 for 114Mlb contained uranium (RPEEE basis); 50% Measured & Indicated.
Botswana is the top mining jurisdiction in Africa, achieving a global ranking of 4 (Policy Perceptions Index) in the 2023 Fraser Institute global survey.
Environment
Supplying uranium is one of the most important ways we can help lead the world to Net Zero. Lotus is focused on reducing global greenhouse gas emissions, including our Kayelekera mine’s direct carbon emissions.
Lotus has started to report on the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework. The framework is structured around four areas: governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics and targets. Recommendations in these areas will provide increased transparency on our climate-related risk exposure, and help us to implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Social
We care about our people and our stakeholders. Their safety and wellbeing is our number one priority. We believe that effectively engaging our stakeholders and the communities that surround the Kayelekera Mine and the Letlhakane Project creates success for everyone – both enhancing business productivity, sustainability and community growth. We continue to proactively and meaningfully engage with our communities and other stakeholders, including Government, NGOs, and other community groups.
Governance
Lotus Resources and its Board are committed to achieving and demonstrating the highest standards of corporate governance and acting with integrity, honesty and cultural sensitivity in all its dealings. Legal and regulatory compliance is a core responsibility of the Company.
Effective and robust corporate governance is important to meet objectives, create long term shareholder value, and deliver on our values and purpose. We aim to comply with all legal and regulatory obligations and to have a positive impact in the jurisdictions in which we operate.
